1. Speed. No other technology comes close. More than 10 measurements can be performed every second using automated controllers. Even our simple portable controllers will provide Ra values in less than one second after pushing the “measure” button. 2. Durability. Our model 6212 easily survives a 5 foot drop onto a hard floor with no damage or loss of accuracy or calibration. Lasercheck is the world’s most durable surface roughness instrument. 3. Calibration. Lasercheck Light Scatter technology requires calibration that is specific to a finishing process. We have factory calibrations available for common finishing processes like grinding, sanding, some honing operations, polishing, etc. Users may have to perform initial calibrations on unique processes. But once calibrated Lasercheck NEVER LOSES CALIBRATION. It will not change over hours, days, weeks, months, and even years of use. 4. Measure any Material. Lasercheck will not damage soft fragile surfaces such as rubber, plastic, soft metals and semiconductors.
